Lady of the House

Shanny is a hard working mom alone living in a three ring circus of sassy kids, special dogs, complicated babydaddys, confounding romances, great friendships, close families and way too many cats.  She spends the vast majority of her time taking care of things, and when she’s not doing that she’s trying to learn to take care of herself.  She’s prone to violent outbursts of contagious laughter and overuse of sarcasm.  Reading, writing, painting, photography, and being outside are just a sampling of the things she wholeheartedly enjoys.  Bizarrely she’s currently harboring the overwhelming desire to become an entomologist.

  1. I had to look up the word “entomologist” because I had no clue what that is. But yea that is random. And for future people who read this it’s a someone who studies insects, I’m such a good person, ha. I once had a bug named Milton…and I’ll stop there.

  2. Oh, just now saw this — soooo cool, the entomologist thing — I had that dream once (one of those deflating moments in my life was when I announced the same to my mother, years ago, with great enthusiasm, and was greeted with — well, you can imagine, probably….not that that’s why I didn’t pursue it, but, yeah, it’s a real niche….). I love those macro close-up pictures and movies of insects — so fascinating! It occurred to me at some point, though, that, ultimately, the chief purpose of most professional entomologists is to figure out better ways to kill insects…but I’d just kinda want to watch them…
